Improve the Appearance of Frown Lines with Xeomin

Alright, so for those of you who have been following along, you already know this is my second time trying Xeomin. If you’re just tuning in, feel free to take a look at my first experience here.

What is XEOMIN (incobotulinumtoxinA)? It’s a prescription medication injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults.

Now that we’re all on the same page, let’s dive in shall we? Cool. My mom is in her mid 50’s and has never gotten Xeomin or Botox done before, so as you can imagine she was excited to try it. Her biggest problem area was mostly frown line area that she wanted to get rid of. Dr. Shafer explained exactly what he was going to do and where he was going to be sticking the needle (it’s tiny and almost completely painless). After a couple little pricks, 10 minutes of icing and we were out the door! Dr. Shafer also explained that Xeomin takes about 3-5 days to start seeing the full effects and should last anywhere from 3-4 months (will vary depending on the person). 5 days later, both my mom and I are TOTALLY satisfied and loving the Xeomin!! Just keep in mind if you have severe frown lines, it is going to take more than 1 treatment session to make those lines completely disappear but rest asssured you’re definitely going to see a difference after the first time.
