Hilton Woburn Boston invited me to stay the weekend and enjoy the resort’s amenities during my stay, including complementary dining at the Matadora Resturaunt. While I partnered with Hilton Woburn Boston on this post, all opinions and thoughts are my own.
When the opportunity to stay 3 nights at the Hilton Woburn presented itself, I could not say no. Located only about an hour away from where I live, and 20 minutes outside of Boston. This made for the perfect little girls “staycation” for my friend Sarah and I.
Checking in was a breeze, we got our room keys and headed to the elevators. The two main elevators have beautiful full length glass windows showcasing the hotel while riding it up & down. There is an awesome indoor pool and casual sports bar after walking through the lobby. We never actually saw a bartender behind the bar, however the big flatscreen TV’s always had a sports game playing, plenty of seating and a pool table open for use!
Our king suite was spacious, and had everything we needed. There was even a plate with chocolate covered strawberry’s and raspberries waiting for us! The king bed was super comfy, no complaints there. There was also a couch in the corner of the room along with a desk, which made for convient extra seating, or in our case, more spots to lay out our clothes, Ha! I consider myself a tough critic when it comes to hotel bathrooms. I don’t know what is is, I just find it important to have a nice, clean bathroom in your hotel room. The Hilton Woburn did not disappoint! The bathroom was clean, plenty of room and felt brand new!
Overall the hotel was calm, open and inviting. On Saturday night there was a wedding reception and even with all the commotion of guests arriving and what not, the hotel never felt overwhelming or packed. We were also a little nervous we were going to be able to hear the wedding party dancing all night, but to our surprise we never heard a single peep from the reception room, which made for a relaxing night.
Oh, and the food? So unbelievably good. The first night we ordered room service. It took a little while to reach our room but oh-boy, the wait was worth it! Our food was delicous. We had dinner the second night at Matadora, the resort’s signature restaurant featuring wood-fired steak & spanish tapas. It was incredible! Seriously, my mouth is watering as I type this. The atmosphere was amazing. After dinner we took our drinks outside and sat by a little fire. I suggest making a reservation on Opentable for dinner, Matadora gets busy, especially on weekend nights!
What’s a girls trip without some shopping, am I right? The Burlington Mall was only 12 minutes away from hotel, so of course, we hopped over there a time or two or three. On the off chance you can’t find what you’re looking for at that mall, take a quick 20 minute ride over to Newbury St. in Boston and go to town (like we did)!
Sunday we took a little day trip to Russel Orchards in Ipswich for some apple picking that was conviently only a 35 minute ride from the hotel. Beautiful orchards with plenty of apples ready and waiting to be picked! Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to try their famous cider donuts due to the extremely long line at the bakery, but I guess thats what we get for going on a beautiful Sunday afternoon!
Overall, we had such a great weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Woburn! I can’t thank Hilton Woburn enough for their hospitality and service during our stay. I’d highly recommend checking into Hilton Woburn on your next visit (or staycation) to Boston.
