I am super excited to be partnering with Hair Cuttery for a second time and tell you guys about my experience! If you’re not familiar with Hair Cuttery, it’s the largest family-owned and operated chain of hair salons in the United States. With more than 840 locations throughout the East Coast, New England and the Midwest. Offering cuts, styling, coloring, texturizing and waxing! Something nice about Hair Cuttery salons are that walk-in’s are always welcome. No need to schedule an appointment, just head into salon whenever is convenient for you!
Before I really dive into my gloss treatment, I feel it’s important I tell you guys I’m finally extension free! To be honest, having very mixed feelings about it. I feel naked, but so free at the same time. It feels like I went from a thick head of hair down to two pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love hair extensions. In fact, I’m all about them but after years and years of wearing them, I decided it was really time to let my natural hair gain some health back. With no extensions I’ve literally cut my getting-ready time in half, which is ah-mazing!
Ok with that out of the way, let’s get back on track here with Hair Cuttery. I took a little trip into my local Hair Cuttery Salon in Plymouth, Ma earlier this week to get some much-needed hair TLC. I got the Redken Clear Hair Gloss. I was looking for some extra shine and to add a little vibrance to my existing color. As soon as I got to the salon I let my stylist, Laurel, know that I was in somewhat of a time crunch, (how annoying of me, I know). Not only did Laurel do an awesome job on my gloss, I was in and out of her chair in about 45 minutes, score!!
What exactly is this “Hair Gloss” treatment I keep talking about? A hair gloss is a temporary treatment that can help with both the health of your hair and it’s color. Most gloss formulas are typically tinted, although clear shine treatments, which is what I got, is also offered at Hair Cuttery. Whereas a traditional dye opens the hair cuticle to change the color from the inside, a gloss coats and seals the cuticle for a smooth service. Glosses typically help with shine and evening tones. The effects of the gloss last for about 20 shampoos and without the full commitment of real dye. Reap all the benefits without actually lifting hair or impacting the hair cuticle.
This is my second time getting the Redken shine gloss treatment. The first time around I had extensions in, so to be honest, I don’t think I ever realized how much of a difference it made it truly made. This time around I can’t help but love how healthy and shiny my hair feels!!
Have you guys ever tried a gloss treatment or any other color service at Hair Cuttery? I would love to hear about your experience. Feel free to leave me a comment or question below. I will do my best to get back right away!
