If you asked me 15 years ago what my everyday skin care routine consisted of, I probably would have laughed and said “maybe moisturizer on a good day.” Skip forward to today, and my response would be every morning and every night I use SkinCeuticals cleansing gel, equalizing toner, my Custom D.O.S.E serum and moisturizer!
Nowadays I take my skincare very seriously. I realize the importance of keeping my skin looking and feeling young, smooth & hydrated as I can! That’s where SkinCeuticals comes in. What I love most about SkinCeuticals is that their products are backed by science, and their main goal is results. And let’s be real, results are what we are all after, right? One thing that is super important to realize is that skincare is not “one size fits all.” A serum that works magic on my skin, may not work well with yours, and vise versa. We all also have our own skin concerns, whether it be signs of aging, discoloration, and/or both. SkinCeuticals takes it up a notch with their Custom D.O.S.E serum. Using both technology and science they are able to deliver a personalized corrective plan that evolves with our skin. They offer a personalized serum called Custon D.O.S.E, created specially for what our exact skin needs.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending an event for the SkinCeuticals at Skincare Phyicans in Chestnut Hill. (also where I go to see my favorite doctor, Dr. Kaminer, every 12 weeks for Dysport!) Skincare Physicans’ were one of the first practices in the world to have access to this revolutionary skin care technology and to be able to provide us, the patients, with this exclusive Custom D.O.S.E experience. While at the event, we were given a tour around the SkinCeuticals’ office and a run down of some of the other services offered; Facials, body sculpting, laser hair removal, and the list goes on. Basically all services I’ll be making my way back in for, haha!
At the event I was able to learn all about SkinCeuticals and more specifically about their Custom D.O.S.E serum. You begin by answering a simple online questionnaire, led by a skincare professional. To be honest, lot’s of skincare lingo can be confusing, which is why I let my skincare professional know what my issues were and she was able to guide me through the questionnaire with ease. After the questionnaire is complete, through science and technology, it formulates the best serum type for your skin. My custom D.O.S.E was a mix of Licorice root & Mulberry Extract, for brightening and Proxylane and Retinol for enhancing. Because my skin tends to be on the dry side, my skincare professional made my serum with a Emulsion base, which contains conditoning agents with a light, milky texture. Ideal for dry skin types.
Once the the formulation has been carefully created, the magic begins! In just under 10 minutes, the SkinCeuticals Custom D.O.S.E machine operates at 1,200 rotations per minute to mix ingredients drop by drop! Watching this machine work it’s magic was so cool! More than 250 unique skin types were considered in the research stage of D.O.S.E to ensure highest quaility and deeply customized beauty experience. The machine combines active ingredients that have historically been unable to be mixed outside of a factory setting. After 10 minutes is up, the Custom D.O.S.E serum is yours to take home!
I have only been using my custom D.O.S.E serum for about a week now, but let me tell you guys, I’m already seeing results. Yes, in under a week! The dark spots that always stood out to me, are fading and the texture of my skin has never been better. I can’t wait to see all the changes in my skin over the next 3 months! I look forward to visiting with skincare professional again and adapting my treatment plan as needed!
If you guys are in/around the Chestnust Hill area, I highly suggest stopping in. Well, call and make an appointment, then stop in! It’s a beautiful office! And you will not go wrong with a new Custom D.O.S.E!
Have you guy tried any SkinCeutical products?! What are your favorites? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
